Extreme weather continues to afflict backsliding Israelite nations. The northeastern portion of the USA was recently hit by a major snowstorm, and this week the midwest was buried under more than a foot of snow. However, central California (where a considerable amount of produce is grown) is worried about a dry summer due to a very light snow-pack on the mountains. God said anciently that conditions like this would develop when His people turn away from Him (see Amos 4:7-8).
