On the world scene this week, wildfires and searing heat are scorching the “gay-friendly” nation of Australia (see “News and Prophecy” article), refugees from war-torn Syria are struggling with mud and freezing rains in Jordanian camps, Britain is preparing to leave (and perhaps help reshape) the EU, and America continues to spend money it does not have—in what promises to be a very interesting new year!
