LCG Weekly Update 08/02/2018

Greetings from Charlotte, Wallace Smith and I recorded Tomorrow’s World telecasts for the upcoming season. I offered a brand new booklet titled, Evolution and Creation: What Both Sides Miss; and Mr. Smith offered a new DVD, The Antichrist and the Beast of Revelation, a compilation of three past Tomorrow’s World programs. Some of our younger members are attending a Canadian Family Civic Weekend in the Toronto area this weekend. Tomorrow’s World presentations or follow-up presentations are to be held this Sabbath and Sunday in Douglasville, Georgia; Bristol, Virginia; Rancho Cordova, California; Reno, Nevada; and Fayetteville and Russellville, Arkansas.

LCG Weekly Update 07/26/2018

Greetings from Charlotte, I am happy to report that Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Stewart arrived safely in England to serve in the London area congregations. Mr. Peter Nathan has been in Africa conducting visits and holding meetings. Dr. Douglas Winnail attended the Saratoga Family Weekend in Wyoming and is making ministerial visits prior to his scheduled return this Tuesday. A number of us returned to Charlotte from Texas after a very successful two-week Teen Camp. The Preteen Camp in Texas wraps up this week and the teen Adventure Camp begins this coming week. LCG Weekly Update 07/19/2018

Greetings from Charlotte, Mr. Peter Nathan is making a trip to Africa, where he will be visiting congregations in Nairobi, Kenya and in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In addition, he will spend the Sabbath of July 28 with the Johannesburg-Pretoria combined congregations and will hold a Ministerial Conference on Sunday. The Tomorrow’s World Presentations held in Dallas and Big Sandy, Texas saw 49 and 20 guests respectively, along with good contingents of members. Greetings from Charlotte, Mr. Cristian Orrego gave us a report on his recent trip with Mr. Mario Hernandez to Spain and Portugal, where they visited members and GOTOs in eight different cities. It is very encouraging to see growing interest in that part of the world. It is interesting to note that all the new contacts in Spain are immigrants to that country and not native Spaniards. Greetings from Charlotte, We now have over 600 people signed up to take the first online Living Education course beginning in August, as stated in the announcement below. Please be sure to read the announcement, as important points are given. As with anything new, there will be a learning curve on how to navigate the Living Education website, but we have made every effort to make it simple and easy to negotiate. Our first North American youth camp begins this week in North Carolina, for pre-teens. I’ll be making an overnight visit to the camp to record material for this year’s Festival “Behind the…

Greetings from Charlotte, Plans and preparations are proceeding for the 2018 Summer Camps and the Feast of Tabernacles that will be held later this year. Please note the announcement about Feast sites that are now closed to transfers and those that are still open to transfers. Mr. Weston is visiting the office in Toronto to tape several new Tomorrow’s World programs.
