The extremist group Islamic State continues to shock the world through its acts of treachery, this week murdering a Jordanian pilot with such brutality that even other Islamic extremists have condemned it. When will the butchery stop? While Islamic State’s leader talks of a caliphate that will rule the world, the truth is that Jesus Christ will soon return and crush all opposition, ruling with “a rod of iron” (Revelation 2:27).
