Greetings brethren,
Greece’s newly elected populist prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, is taking a confrontational stance against the European Union—and in particular against Germany. Since taking office on Sunday, his government has dramatically reversed austerity measures imposed by the EU. He has also called on Germany to repay billions in war reparations, and has visited a World War II site commemorating Greeks executed by Nazis. As this week’s News and Prophecy notes, the European Union is facing increasing confrontation with anti-EU contingents in its member nations. It will be interesting to see where this leads politically and prophetically for Europe. Members only. If you are an existing user, please log in.
